Beginning in early 2020, I became the first film critic at Asheville Movies to focus solely on VOD (Video On Demand) titles. My work covers all areas of film, including festival favorites and foreign features that rarely have the mass market appeal for theatrical distribution.
My entertainment writing career began in music, but film has always been my second passion. Roger Ebert once said that movies are machines that generate empathy, and I choose to believe we need as much of that as possible in today’s world.
